You may well be blessed with sightings of monkeys, antelopes, flying foxes and a variety of birds and butterfly's.

Camp out under the open stars in a bivouac, an experience you'll never forget.

Mountain biking

Two or three days to the lake with this mode of transportation is a really great way to enjoy this terrain as it mostly downhill!

There is a choice for people wanting hard or easy trails this is one of the best complete adventure experiences in this part of Africa.

If you like biking this is the most fun you can have getting to any beach. Take a dip in a mountain stream halfway down enjoy a night camping (bivouac style) in the forest or make it short and sweet either way its a great way to enjoy Malawi.

The 4x4 trail

A half day excursion and a great journey for a keen driver and team.  This trail requires some care but offers some great scenery and will test your four by four skills.

The route can be taken in either direction.  Either way, a pleasant destination awaits.

During the rainy season it should be considered a mission and any lone vehicle should only attempt this route with a winch. The trail was opened and bridges rebuilt in 2007 after being closed for 30 years with help from local tourism operators and the department of Forestry.

Tread lightly and no fires as the trails are in a forest reserve so please respect nature for its beauty.
